- Influenza vaccine is now recommended in healthy children 2 to 4 years of age"

- Herpes zoster vaccine is recommended in people over 60 years old.

- CRP is now used to make treatment decisions in patients with lipid disorders: "use of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein testing in men older than 50 years and women older than 60 years who are at moderate risk of cardiovascular disease (using the Framingham risk score) and whose level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is less than 3.5 mmol/L. Two high-sensitivity C-reactive protein samples should be taken at least 2 weeks apart in a patient not suffering from any acute illness. If the lower of the 2 values is greater than 2.0 mg/L, individuals might benefit from pharmacotherapy."
